Members of BC SPCA Wild ARC, form the Wild ARC Community Council (CC). These volunteers are elected by their peers to help direct the vision and activities of the BC SPCA Wild ARC. They support programs and services that save animals in the community and throughout the province, and lend a strong voice as an advocate for animals in areas that need change. Community Council members meet every three weeks on Wednesday evenings.
The committee is instrumental at planning and coordinating fundraising events that directly benefit the wild animal patients at Wild ARC. From raffles, BBQs, mall events, walk-a-thon, and silent auctions - the CC has a full calendar of fundraising events throughout the year and is always looking for new ideas and volunteers to assist at these events.
The Wild ARC Community Council also has an important role in public outreach, educating the public about urban wildlife conflicts and nature. With increasing development and increasing human-wildlife interaction, many wild animals are injured, orphaned and displaced. The Wild ARC CC hopes to develop educational programs for schools and clubs and bring these important lessons to children and their parents.

All members of the BC SPCA and the public are invited and nominations for CC members will be taken. If you are not able to commit to the CC, but still interested in our projects, Activity Volunteers are always needed so please complete a Volunteer Application form and you will be contacted by a member of the CC.
